Putney has excellent transport options. With an overground train station, two tube stations, multiple bus stops with varying bus routes, and an Uber boat pier it is easy to access by public transport. Two car parks, and on street parking, aswell as lots of cycle racks for bicycles. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Putney offers easy parking at various locations around town. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Putney Exchange car park (entrance on Lacy Road) has approximately 250 spaces, with free parking for Waitrose users. It also offers disabled and parent and child parking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sainsbury\u2019s car park (on Werter Road) offers approximately 50 car parking spaces with free parking for Sainsburys users. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Putney has lots of on street parking all within the Wandsworth Council controlled parking scheme. The different zones of Putney have different rules and restrictions on parking so check the signage. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Regular South West trains from London Waterloo and Clapham Junction into Putney train station. Trains also run frequently in the opposite direction to Richmond, Twickenham and Kew. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alternatively, East Putney and Putney Bridge tube stations offer quick access into central London or to Wimbledon via the District line. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As well as rail services, Putney offers a wide selection of bus services; fifteen day-services and fourteen night-buses. These buses take travellers to destinations such as Oxford Circus, Clapham Junction, Kingston, Kensington and Hammersmith.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you are looking for a more scenic route in and out of central London, then the river bus is the option for you. A river bus from Putney Pier to Embankment Pier in central London is operated by Uber boats. This service is provided Monday to Friday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For a more active option, Putney offers one of the best cycle routes in London. National Cycle Route 4 takes cyclists on a long stretch of the south side of the River Thames. This scenic route provides easy access to central London via Putney Bridge, with most of the journey being along the river. To travel in the opposite direction, the cycle route takes riders through Barnes, Richmond Park and Kingston.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
