To kickstart our Jubilee celebrations, Positively Putney have created the Platinum Jubilee trail<\/a> which runs throughout Putney. This trail is an interactive experience, as you visit the story points in order, you\u2019ll collect digital stamps, learn more of the story and be able to take selfies with some AR characters.<\/p>\n\n\n

Moving closer to the Platinum Jubilee Weekend, are you thinking of things to do for the extra-long weekend? Need to keep the kids entertained? Or just need to get out and enjoy weekend?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Positively Putney have a great day planned for you. From 2pm on Thursday 2nd June, we will have Riverside Radio<\/a> broadcasting live with music and interviews. Dazzling stilt walkers, balloon modelling and arts and crafts provided by Get Set Go<\/a>. There will be a beer and Pimms tent run by Prince of Wales<\/a>, Putney Pantry<\/a> will be serving cream teas, Pets 4 Home<\/a> will be giving out goodie bags, The Massage Company<\/a> giving taster massages and Wagamamas<\/a> giving free food samples. The Scouts will be selling cakes to raise money for the 25th World Scout Jamboree to Korea in 2023. (Some of these activities will finish at 5.45pm) <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Heading towards the evening at 6pm and 9.15pm, we will have two sensational fire performances.<\/p>\n\n\n

At 9.40pm we will have a trumpeter playing Majesty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At 9.45pm we will have the Beacon Lighting Ceremony accompanied by Rhiannon Llewellyn<\/a> singing A Life Lived with Grace. The Putney beacon will be lit alongside 2000 other Beacons across the world to commemorate the Platinum Jubilee. It is the first time a British monarch has marked a Platinum Jubilee, 70 years as Sovereign. Communities throughout the world will be coming together for this historic milestone. Be there to make sure that you are a part of it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So make a note in your diary. 2nd<\/sup> June from 2pm to 10pm in Church Square \u2013 come along and celebrate the Jubilee weekend in Putney! This will be a \u201cdo not miss\u201d event for all Putney residents. <\/p>\n\n\n
