A\u202flocal carpenter cut out giant wooden letters and as part of our coronation event on Monday the 8th<\/sup> of May they were decorated. To stay on theme, we had red, white, blue and gold paint available. We asked children to paint either something about the coronation or something they love about Putney.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

As expected, we had lots of children excited to get involved, aprons were on hand to stop the paint splashing any coronation costumes. We were keen for people of all ages to get involved so they could feel like part of the community. This led to some interesting designs! We love the Union Jack design on the \u2018U\u2019 and the many I love Putney\u2019s<\/em>. \u202f\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>

The letters have now been put up on the Ivy outside the old M&S at the bottom of Putney High Street. We have also added some geraniums\u202fprovided by Noor (located outside Putney Arts\u202fTheatre). The M&S has been closed since 2018 and we installed the planters to brighten up the vacant\u202fspace.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
