This ever popular cafe on Upper Richmond Road has dished up brilliant coffee since arriving on the Putney coffee scene in 2012. Winner of \u2018Best Cakes and Bakes\u2019 at the Coffee Shop Awards, London 2014, they serve up a punchy selection of treats too. Pitch up at the bench in the window table and order a macchiato, or refuel with a slice of Guinness cake.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>

GAIL’s Bakery<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

A little bread haven on Lacy Road, Gail’s puts the emphasis firmly on long-fermented organic sourdough breads, pastries, cakes and toasted sandwiches \u2013 all loaded with seasonal ingredients. It was voted \u2018Best UK Coffee Chain\u2019 in 2017 so you can expect their coffee to be good. With plenty of seating and conveniently located near to Putney High Street shops, it is the perfect pit-stop.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The Bakehouse<\/a>\u00a0<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

It isn\u2019t surprising that this tiny set-up has won the hearts of Putney\u2019s cafe brigade. We enjoy the delightful selection of cakes and pastries, but it’s the bread that we\u2019re really interested in. All baked on site, the sourdough loaf is one of the best in Putney.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>

A favourite with the locals, Putney Pantry is situated in the historical St Mary\u2019s Church at the end of Putney High Street, next to The River Thames. An eccentrically decorated place, Blabar is a local godsend. It’s an effortlessly chilled hangout where everyone enjoys their coffees and the Swedish cinnamon buns which are possibly the best in Putney! During lunch they serve mix-and-match combos of salads and open sandwiches and their cakes are freshly baked every day. You might also find the odd piece of Nordic furniture for sale while you enjoy their menu.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>
